In California, the Gold Rush Continues

Staff -- School Library Journal, 7/1/1999

The good times are apparently still rolling in California, where the state Assembly is poised to provide yet another $158.5 million for school library materials.

That's on top of fiscal 1999's $158.5 million, now making its way to book-starved libraries across the state. The new money is part of the state budget expected to pass by the start of the new fiscal year July 1.
