ALA offers course on copyright

Staff -- School Library Journal, 2/1/2000

Dealing with online copyright issues is one of the diciest issues librarians now face. To help, the American Library Association is sponsoring an online copyright tutorial that's free to ALA members and open to non-members for $25.

The course will be given by e-mail, with about three messages delivered per week over a 10-week period, starting February 14. It's also free to members of the American Association of Law Librarians, which is helping support the program.

To register, send an e-mail message to listproc@ala1.ala.org. In the body of the message, type: subscribe tutorial YourFirstName YourLastName. Non-ALA members should send a $25 check payable to the American Library Association to: ALA Washington Office, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 403, Washington, DC 20004-1701.
