Sirsi to Acquire DRA

Sirsi, the Alabama-based supplier of library management systems, has commenced its previously announced merger with competitor Data Research Associates (DRA) of St. Louis, MO. When the acquisition is complete, the new Sirsi-DRA company will be the second largest vendor in the library automation industry, based on the number of installed systems worldwide. DRA will continue to operate independently as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sirsi, with installed DRA systems continuing to receive DRA service and support.
