Scholastic Adds 19 E–Book Titles

To boost print sales, Scholastic has added 19 e-book titles. Retail and e-tailing outlets have already started offering some of the publisher's series for children eight years and older—Dear America, Royal Diaries, Remnants, and Scholastic Question & Answer. The suggested retail price is $1 below print versions.
Barbara Marcus, president of Scholastic's Children's Book Publishing and Distribution Group, says the e-book expansion is a "way to market, promote, and drive print sales," especially to kids in the teen and tween-age groups.
