SMART Technologies, Inc. has extended the warranty on its SMART Board 500 series interactive whiteboards. Instead of three years, the electronic chalkboards will now be covered for five. All parts and labor are also protected under the extended warranty, including software upgrades.

Free copies of SMART Ideas concept-mapping software for Microsoft Windows operating systems are now also included with every whiteboard. The software is a nifty tool for helping students understand relationships between curriculum concepts in an engaging and visual fashion. The software includes a clip-art gallery featuring images, cell diagrams, celestial constellations, and pictures of inventors.
