Lost and Found

If your library has a fair share of lost items, the updated Winnebago Spectrum 5.2 might help. The improved Sagebrush's library automation system enables you to change an item's status to "lost" while assigning the appropriate fine to a patron.

"Our new workflow offers two alternatives for changing status," says Sagebrush spokesperson Mark Wilkes. "You load a patron, then select the lost item from the 'materials checked out' window, or you can load the lost item directly." Marking lost items as "found" is now easier, resulting in fewer keystrokes. Other new updates include the capacity to restrict searches to specific reading levels and select different font sizes when printing bibliographies. New buttons on the Navigator toolbar enable users to quickly connect to the Sagebrush Web site and to BenchMARC, an online collection development tool. Two new additions, Spectrum Francais and Spectrum Español, allow French- and Spanish-speaking patrons to view search screens in their native language.
