In addition to the nine companies included in our recent survey of library automation systems (see 'A Smarter System ,' November 2003, pp. 48–51), here are two more manufacturers you should know about.

Innovative Interfaces offers a centralized, Web-based system for K–12 schools and districts that's called Via. The automation system is UNIX-based and comes with a customizable KidsOnline interface, a Web-based reports generator with hundreds of templates, and a MAP full-search option that uses AltaVista software.

TLC's Library.Solution for Schools is an automation system designed for K–12 schools and districts that's compatible with Windows NT/2000, Macintosh, and UNIX. The system offers a flexible reports generator with most custom reports available free of charge, a broad-based, single-search product from WebFeat, and options such as the KCweb children's interface.

For more information about Innovative Interfaces's systems, visit www.innovativeinterfaces.com, or call (510) 655-6200. For additional details about TLC's products, visit www.tlcdelivers.com, or phone (800) 325-7759.
