Portland, OR–based Learning.com has announced a new array of professional development classes for educators that teach K–8 students how to use technology to do their everyday classwork. The company's training sessions will help students build spreadsheets for math classes and use word-processing software for English papers, for example.

Available professional development classes include on-site workshops, regional conferences, and certification academies for EasyTech, a popular Learning.com product. EasyTech comes with 100 activities, lessons, and practice drills that enable teachers to meet national and state standards. Teachers also learn how to work with special education students and how to use technology and software in unexpected ways, such as teaching kids how to use Excel to create a map of their journey from home to school.

Free thirty-day trials of EasyTech are available at www.learning.com.
