Scholastic VP Named
By Walter Minkel -- School Library Journal, 8/1/2004
Mark Cummings has been named vice president and publisher, reference, in Scholastic's library publishing division. Cummings began his career with Grolier (now a part of Scholastic) 13 years ago as editor-in-chief of Encyclopedia Americana. More recently he was in charge of Grolier Online, which transformed the Grolier line of reference products and the America the Beautiful series into a suite of subscription databases. In his new position, Cummings will oversee all of Scholastic's library reference products, including those for colleges and universities.
