Need to jazz up a presentation or class project? Check out Corbis Images for Education, a new online library of digital versions of the most famous photographs in history, now available for student and educator use. The collection boasts 400,000 images, including the Iwo Jima flag raising, the first man to walk on the Moon, the Hindenburg zeppelin explosion, the early flights of the Wright brothers, and famous works of art. The photos are considered highly protected intellectual property and are available for educational use through this site from Thomson Gale and Corbis, a leading provider of images and footage to newspapers, magazines, and television.

Students may use the images for Web coursework, classroom projects, and homework assignments. Marketing or commercial use of the photos is prohibited. Pricing starts at $3,000 for two users. Visit www.gale.com to learn more about a free trial offer.
