Sites of the Week:
Tax History Project

Walter Minkel -- School Library Journal, 8/5/2004

www.taxhistory.org

High school students studying the role of taxes in society will enjoy this site, which explains the history of taxation, courtesy of the Tax Analysts organization. A "Tax History Museum" offers visitors a history of American taxes, and there are copies of tax returns of recent presidents, including George W. Bush. You'll also find a collection of cartoons and commentary about how much Americans love paying taxes.
