Ward Nabs Grolier

Caroline Ward, youth service coordinator at the Ferguson Library in Stamford, CT, is the winner of the 51st annual Grolier Foundation Award, given to a librarian who has shown outstanding achievement in the profession. Ward, who spent 36 years as a youth services and children's librarian, is noted for launching numerous educational programs and bringing library services to children in small rural areas. Ward will also receive a $1,000 check from sponsor Scholastic Library Publishing.
