AASL Is Going Green
By Staff -- School Library Journal, 10/1/2007
Imagine attending a conference without having to lug around all those heavy handouts? The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) hopes to make that possible during its 13th national conference in Reno, NV, from October 25 to 28.
But AASL has a more noble mission: it’s going green. Carl A. Harvey, cochair of the conference, says that people attending the biannual gathering typically collect hundreds of pages of paper. But trying to go paperless means that most handouts and printed materials will be available electronically to registered attendees prior to and during the conference.
