Interesting that Van Ark knew he needed permission to publish his Web site (which Rowling graciously granted because it would be free to readers) but does not feel that he needs permission to publish the same material and profit from it. But the “information” that the lexicon cross-references with the “Harry Potter” series isn’t copyrighted.... I loved all three of the books... and I can’t wait for the next one to come out, but I am a Mormon so it surprised me a lot when I found out Stephenie was a Mormon as well. I was very upset at this because she swears in her books. Mormons don’t swear. ...when libraries have policies in place to deal with book challenges, one of the requirements is that the challenger read the book in question. That’s what Partington wanted.... The principal apparently refused.... And now he’s stating that the book is not the issue.
