It’s Good to Be King

King & King (Ten Speed, 2002) will stay on the shelves of the Lower Macungie Library in Pennsylvania, despite objections by local parents to its homosexual theme.

It was the second time that library directors had to decide the fate of Linda de Haan and Stern Nijland’s picture book, in which two princes marry each other and are shown kissing. The parents demanded the book’s removal after taking it home to read to their young son.
