Pop-Up Horton

By Staff -- School Library Journal, 3/1/2008

Dr. Seuss fans will love David A. Carter’s pop-up version of the perennial favorite Horton Hears a Who! (Random, 1954). The story appears in its entirety, and although the 3-D version only has 10 spreads, numerous foldout booklets are effectively used to present the text and keep the pacing true to the original. The pictures are spiffed up with a new full-color palette of deep sherbet shades with coordinating background pages. Horton was released just in time for the March 14 premiere of Horton Hears a Who!, an animated feature film from 20th Century Fox.
