Gr 7 Up–This attractive volume includes reviews of more than 700 fiction titles, nonfiction, classics, and graphic novels that will be of interest to young adults. The reviewers/contributors are popular authors, librarians, and teens themselves. Brief entries of one half to one page per title are easy to read with black-and-white images of book covers, suggested ages, and additional recommendations included. The lively reviews are sorted alphabetically by title, indexed by author, and cross-referenced throughout the volume. Teen readers poll results and short articles on specific genres are interspersed among the entries, and all of the contributors are profiled at the back of the book. This book is easier to access than Nancy Pearl’s Book Crush (Sasquatch, 2007). It’s an excellent source for a variety of book reviews spanning time and genre. Useful for students, librarians, and teachers.
