Beverly Bixler, San Antonio Public Library, TX -- School Library Journal, 7/18/2008

No Ordinary Day. CD. 42:44 min. Prod. by Suzi Shelton. Dist. by CDBaby.com. 2008. $15.

PreS-Gr 4–The second album by award-winning performer Suzi Shelton features rock and folk rock songs. Her lovely voice perfectly suits the soft rock tunes. All of the songs are original except for Bob Dylan’s “Man Gave Names (to All the Animals).” Four of the songs also appear on her DVD, Suzi Shelton Live at Southpaw (Jan. 2008, p. 66). Among the 13 songs are “Lift Me Up,” “Goin on a Road Trip,” “No Ordinary Day,” “Scooter Boy,” “Brighter Days,” “Fill Your Heart,” and others. This positive, uplifting album deserves a place in every library’s music collection.
