Gettin’ Jiggy with Laurie

The wait is over. Laurie Berkner, the award-winning rock star for the diaper and sippy cup set, is releasing her first CD in six years. Rocketship Run (Two Tomatoes Records)— which features 20 new songs and arrangements ranging from a Brazilian samba and Irish jig to a folk song set against a country music background—hits stores on August 5. Kids will enjoy hearing strings, flute, piccolo, bassoon, and trumpet as Berkner and her bandmates Susie Lampert (keyboards) and Adam Bernstein (bass) thread together all the songs, like chapters in a book.
