Saved by The Bell - Sixty Second Tech Tips
Christopher Bell -- School Library Journal, 8/20/2008
The frustration is over! Most school districts have had to block YouTube through Internet filters for various reasons. Most of us know there is a lot of good stuff on YouTube that would be valuable to students. The problem has been that none of that good stuff could be brought to school.
Now you can download your favorite videos at home in various formats with the YouTube Download & Convert tool from CubedLabs. This is a very simple program to download and install. The website URL is located below. (Only available for PC right now, but I am looking for the Mac answer.)
The great thing about this program is that it allows you to download the video by having the URL. Then select the video format you would like and you are ready to download. Download & Convert offers eight different video formats. You can even save it as an mp4 for your iPod. It saves the video in a file that is created when you download the program. Then share those crazy, amazing, and interesting videos through email, or presentation.
CubeLabs recently updated this program, and I think you’ll find it to be a fantastic addition to your Web 2.0 toolbelt.
