Even Dragon Riders Have to Go to School
Dodie Ownes -- School Library Journal, 09/17/2008
For hundreds of years, Dragon Riders have trained at
Vroengard Academy, in Doru Araeba. Vroengard Academy is the Hogwarts of Alagaesia, and fans of Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest and soon Brisingr) now have the opportunity to interact with this fantasy world thanks to an interactive online game launched by Knopf earlier this summer. Featuring Mental, Physical, and Magical Trials, players compete for points, and there is even an opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win a trip to Bozeman, Montana to meet Mr. Paolini himself. Nearly 41,000 players have signed on to the game since June. And the buzz is getting louder.
