All Hail the Ambassador

Congratulations to author Jon Scieszka. Last Friday, he was presented with the first National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature Medal as part of the National Book Festival celebration. Scieszka accepted the ambassador position in January 2008 and has taken it on with his characteristic humor and gusto. He’s been crisscrossing the country since May, bringing books and young people together. That’s something we can all get behind.
