Show Me Some Love
-- School Library Journal, 10/1/2008
School librarians are now eligible to apply for the Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times I Love My Librarian Award, created seven years ago to recognize the work of public librarians. Each winner receives a $5,000 cash award, a plaque, and a $500 travel stipend to attend the awards reception in New York City. Nominees will be judged based on quality of service to library users, knowledge of the library, and a commitment to helping patrons. The deadline for nominations is October 15.
