Follow Spring Migrations with Journey North
Dodie Ownes -- School Library Journal, 1/14/2009
Thanks to the support of Annenberg Media, K-12 teachers and students will be able to participate in the 16th annual global study of wildlife migration and seasonal change during Spring 2009 through the Journey North Website. Students as well as field scientists participate in tracking of migration patterns, temperature ranges, plant bloom, and other seasonal indicators. Each Journey North study features entry points and resources that address learning standards, and a multitude of resources are available for teachers including student handouts, standards correlations, and reading strategies.Journey North Web site access and participation is free. Resources can be easily incorporated in natural sciences units, or just visit the site to take a look at the baby crane chicks.
Spring projects start February 1st – register now and you'll receive email notification and resource information.
