Agatha Nominees Announced

-- School Library Journal, 3/4/2009

Four titles for children and young adults were among the recently announced 2008 Agatha Award nominees.

Into the Dark by Peter Abrahams (Harper Collins, ISBN: 9780060737085)

A Thief in the Theater (A Kit Mystery) by Sarah Masters Buckey (American Girl Publishers, ISBN: 9781593692957)

The Crossroads
by Chris Grabenstein (Random House Children's Books, ISBN: 9780375946974)

The Great Circus Train Robbery by Nancy Means Wright (Hilliard & Harris, 978-1591332459)

The 2008 Agatha Awards are given for materials first published in the United States by a living author during 2008, either in hardcover, as a paperback original, or e-published by an e-publishing firm. The Agatha Awards honor the "traditional mystery," which contains no explicit sex or gratuitous violence, making these titles especially easy to recommend to young readers. The winners will be announced at the 2008 Agatha Awards banquet to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009. Visit the Malice Domestic Web site for a complete list of nominees in all categories, and information on the upcoming Malice Domestic conference.
