There have been many Pokemon games but none compare to Pokemon Ranger. This game is played on Nintendo DS, and was developed by HAL laboratory and published by Nintendo. There has never been a Pokemon game like this. The goal is to capture wild, angry, or out-of-control Pokemon and then release them into their natural habitat. This will preserve the peace in the Pokemon region of Fiore. Meanwhile, you have to stop the evil ways of the GO-ROCK squad. They wish to capture all legendary Pokemon and use them for their own wicked deeds.
This game's difficulty depends on the Pokemon you want to capture. If it is rare or very large like Steelix, then it will be a lot harder to circle with your stylus, which is how you capture the Pokemon. Seedot and Pikachu are smaller so they would be easier to capture. You can also have up to three other people join you on your expedition. Each time you play there are more things to learn about the Pokemon and different missions to complete.
The best feature of this Pokemon game is that it’s compatible with Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. All three games are set in the Fiore region. The Manaphy egg from Pokemon Ranger can be transferred to either of these games. Also recently released is the sequel to Pokemon Ranger which is Pokemon Ranger : Shadows of Almia. I’m really looking forward to continuing my adventures in the Pokemon world!—Sara F., grade 10, Floral Park (NY) Memorial High School
