More changes coming, though no details yet. Reed Elsevier announced last week plans to divest itself of most of the U.S. arm of its Reed Business Information subsidiary. Properties owned by the business unit up for sale include Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, and dozens of other trade publications. It remains unclear when the sale will be resolved, and whether all the trade publications will be sold as a group.

This week, LJ extended to August 14 the deadline to submit nominees for The Political Winners (and Sinners) of the Year. Email Rebecca Miller with the names of those who have helped or hindered your library's efforts, or see the link above for the postal address and more information.
