September 1, 2009
September is a time of beginnings, and this one marks an expanded Curriculum Connections. Starting with this issue, look for columns highlighting exciting collaborations and upcoming celebrations. Other additions will feature new and original work by children's and young adult authors and illustrators. We've also planned four extra issues for the school year, each one focusing on a specific content area or subject.
In the coming months, we'll be asking for your input on a number of topics and sharing your suggestions. Our articles will continue to address the needs and interests of students on all reading levels, as they update you about the latest titles and online materials for your classroom and professional use. Sincerely, Daryl Grabarek, Interview
