Crews Is on the Right Track

All aboard. Donald Crews's freight train is back—only this time it features sliding panels so that kids can see what's hidden inside those brightly colored boxcars. The illustrator-author's original Freight Train (Greenwillow, 1978) was named one of the 100 books that shaped the 20th century by a panel of independent reviewers (see January 2000, pp. 50–58). The new, interactive boardbook, a recasting of the story, is called Inside Freight Train (Morrow, 2001).
