Saved by the Bell - Thirty Second Tech Tips

Christopher Bell -- School Library Journal, 10/15/2008

Teachers and students often come to me for suggestions on creating different types of projects or presentations. Too many times, they settle on the PowerPoint format. But brochures can be an awesome alternative, and MyBrochureMaker is a great resource to have in your toolkit.
Many of you will want to write and tell me that there is a brochure template in Microsoft Word. This is true–however, MyBrochureMaker is so much easier to use than the Word templates, and looks very professional. It also offers two different types of brochures and a flyer.
Have your copy ready, follow the instructions, and in moments you’ll produce a professional brochure. You will need to download Adobe Flash Player if you don’t already have it (it’s free!). MyBrochureMaker allows you to enter images, and there is even space for a mailing label or source citation. Complete both back and front sides, then just print. I told you it would be easy!
DoodleLab, a technology company, produces this tool, along with other applications for scrapbookers and crafters.
Christopher Bell is the Library Media Specialist and Head of Technology at Castle View High School, Colorado (where he influences students to do the worst thing on earth - think for themselves).
