It’s Greenwood Time!
April 10, 2008
In my March 13th post I said that I’d send a reminder closer to the time of the free access to Greenwood online files during National Library Week, April 13-19, 2008. Well, folks, IT’S TIME! Go to the Greenwood site to sign up for individual, free access to African American Experience, ARBA Online, Children’s Magazine Guide Online, Daily Life America, Daily Life Through History, Greenwood Digital Collection, Latino American Experience, Praeger Security International Online, The Reader's Advisor Online, and World Folklore and Folklife.
Of course, National Library Week starts on April 13th… but I just went to the site and registered and got my free access now. So – go for it! (And I noted at the site you may be able to extend your trial access beyond the 19th, if you want to demo some files for your head honchos and colleagues.)
This is an opportunity too good to be missed, and that’s why I’m urging you to take a free (and easy) look at these files. They are well worth it -- in fact, I just got word that "the DAILY LIFE ONLINE suite of electronic social history resources has been named a finalist for a 2008 CODiE Award for Best Education Reference or Search Service by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA)." All the more reason to take a look at them at no cost.
More as it happens,
Cheryl
