A Good BusinessDecision
April 3, 2008
My March 15, 2008 LJ review of BusinessDecision from CIVICTechnologies gave the product: “a strong 10” and my BOTTOM LINE on it was: “Any library serving local businesses and researchers with GIS data and delivery should take a look at this product, if not for your own sake, then for that of your users.”
Now CIVICTechnologies is offering to run a free Tapestry report for librarian readers of this blog interested in understanding market segments in your communities. Marc Futterman sent the offer as follows: “The Tapestry report provides valuable information that can be used to analyze community demographic, socioeconomic, housing, and consumer buying characteristics in order to more effectively deliver services that match local needs. The Tapestry profiles are created by classifying U.S. neighborhoods into one of 65 segments based upon over 60 socioeconomic, demographic, and other variables. Libraries interested in obtaining a free Tapestry report should send an email to julie@civictechnologies.com.”
Sounds like a good offer to take them up on, and I’ll be interested in hearing from those of you who do.
More as it happens,
Cheryl
