If you believe that wikis rock for collaboration, but you want a little more freedom to create and the ability to be a little more visual, here's another cool 2.0 app that might meet your needs. (Courtesy of my friend and colleague, Ken Rodoff.)

skrbl
is an online whiteboard that can be shared publicly or kept private.  It has potential to extend collaboration well beyond the mounted white boards in our classrooms and libraries.

skrbl's tools resemble most word processing tools.  But they're a little more flexible. You can add text, draw, and upload files and images in one common shared space.  Everyone gets to see what everyone creates as they create it.

If you like--if you have the courage--you can use a skrbl widget to embed a graffiti whiteboard on your website or blog.
Let your users draw random squiggles or create art, showcase wit or make random noise, everything goes. skrbl graffiti is interactive, others see your work as it happens, and they can also edit, delete & slam it every which way... so lay back, relax, go with the flow and lets see what the collective muse creates.
Some examples from the site:

I really like this app and think it would be a great way to work on modeling ethical participation in a collaborative, on-line community. Just one of the many thoughts I am having about integrating this app.

The skrbl app looks useful, I think I can save the hassle of scheduling conference rooms for some meetings.
