Won't You Wear a Sweater Day
March 4, 2008

While we're still in Read Across America mode, let's remember another great man who contributed to the culture of childhood with his gentle honesty and his respect for everyone in his very large neighborhood.

On Thursday, March 20th, help Mr. McFeely make a different kind of speedy delivery.  As part of Pittsburgh's 250th birthday, and what would have been Mr. Roger's 80th,  Mr. McFeely (my own children's favorite postman) is asking children of all ages to wear their favorite sweater.  It doesn't have to have a zipper down the front.  It just has to be a favorite.

And Mr. McFeely is asking us to make the most of this beautiful day.  Remember to document and share the event with photographs and video.

Another cool McFeely video, as well as this tribute, share a little more about the legacy of Fred Rogers.
