Sharing from Charlotte: Part 1

November 8, 2009 AASL 2009 has come to a close and I thought I take the next few posts to share a little of what I am bringing back from Charlotte, for those who were and weren't there.

First the basic access points:

Donna Baumbach's (Free) Virtual AASL, functions as a wonderful aggregator of a variety of feeds (and memories)! You'll find an archive of the Twitter feeds here.   And you can continue to access Conference content on the bThere site for the next year.

A few of my favorite presentations are listed in this SlideShare playlist widget.  It's not to late to grow this widget. If you presented in Charlotte, you can add your presentation to our playlist by uploading to SlideShare and tagging aasl2009.)

Thank you, Joyce. It was a great conference even from a distance. I was so excited, got so many ideas, and am green with envy of all those who were there in person!

Technology helped to ease the pain of not being able to attend. I only wish this was the beginning of my career instead of, well, you know...such a great--and challenging--time to be a school library media specialist!

Thanks to all you young'n's for getting my heart racing again for a few days with the Tweets, blog posts, wikis, photos, slide decks, and emails shared! (Racing--Charlotte, get it?!)

I retired in June from an elementary school library after 17 years. I find I cannot turn off my library mind. I love the intellectual stimulation of all the new idea that are forthcoming. Finding this wiki is a prime example of this. Thanks.
