On Commenting
June 28, 2007

For those of you who've had trouble commenting on this blog, I've learned some interesting things.  Apparently pasting an HTML code into the post will mean that SLJ won't allow you to comment.  I suspect this extends to more than just website addresses, but I'm not sure.  It bears looking at.  Always copy your message (if it's long) before attempting to send it in.  If it doesn't go through then there may be something in the message itself blocking it from appearing.  FYI, kidlits.

I’m not sure what is meant by HTML, but I have been just typing directly into the comment box (without success, yesterday, as you know). Perhaps it will work now!

Wow, that is weird. You mean instead of typing directly into the box we have to first write a comment somewhere else and then copy it into the box? Why now, suddenly? I have definitely been able to write comments directly into the box before without this problem. Sort of goes against the whole ephemeral nature of comments, it seems to me to have to draft one first elsewhere. But if I must, I will!

Sorry for all the comments, but I'm going to try once more to type directly into the box to see if I can do it. If this appears, it means yesterday was just an off day, I guess.

Yesterday was definitely an off day. But what I meant by HTML is that you can't put in a website address. I just tried and it does not work. Doesn't work at all.

hi Fuse, I was trying to send a link last night! OK, since I can't paste a website, google "where the wild things are" in the NEWS section of google, to see a photo that was released a few days ago and is pretty cool!

Thanks for posting this! I didn't realize why my message hadn't gone through, but now I know it was because of my BSP of my Librarina blog! Teeheehee...

Hmm. Rhubarb, could you send me a direct link to my e-mail? I'm not finding this mysterious image of which you speak.

Try going to a site called firstshowing.net, its a movie news site & scroll down to the story [you'll see the book jacket], then click for a shot from the movie - I would have just emailed the link as you requested but I don't know where to find your email! hope the above is helpful - if not let me know where to email
