Book Release Party: Hero at MoCCA (Part Two)
September 27, 2007

(CONTINUED FROM PART ONE)

Oh, but he's a sweet guy. When I got to the front Perry gave me a great big hug, remembered my name, and even had the first ever Hot Man of Children's Literature story, which I shall recount here.

*ahem*

How People Magazine Found Perry Moore

Because I do not have a car anymore, I do not read
People Magazine (my #1 choice when my oil is being changed). As such, I was unaware that People had a regular "hot guy" feature. I mean, I probably could have figured it out but it's not the kind of thing I spend my waking hours pondering. Well, you have to remember that part of the reason I even was able to make Perry a HMOCL was because he was already mentioned in Paper Magazine's listing of the hot people of 2006. I must be doing something right, though, because how did People discover Perry and offer to make him their next official hot guy? According to Perry, it's because they saw my blog posting. So there you have it. This week Perry will wetsuit up (he insisted on retaining his clothing) and it's all because a print publication found the scoop via a l'il ole children's literary blog.

All in all, a wonderful time was had by everyone. Here are some pics to prove it:

Less crowded, less foggy view of another part of the museum

Very crowded, very foggy view of the side of Perry Moore's head
