Launching Your Own "All Together Now" & Thanks
September 4, 2008

My hope for all of the participants in SLJ's "All Together Now" is that many of you may choose to do a version of this program or the larger "23 Things" in your own libraries or schools. One thing you can do is enhance and augment each activity to fit your own needs.

To make it super easy, I have archived all of the activities and postings at a special Wordpress blog at Tame the Web:

http://tametheweb.com/sljlearning20/

To make it even easier, you can download the entire blog (with all posts, categories, etc) at this link:

Note: Images are not included, but feel free to grab them from the site.

SPECIAL THANKS:

Thanks to all who participated and commented from all over the world in this experiment!

Special thanks to Brian Kenney, editor of SLJ, who called me one one afternoon while I was reading in the hammock and said "I know you're on summer break, but I'm thinking I want to do this Thing...." Thanks to all the good folks at SLJ and LJ.

SLJ's All Together Now is an adaptation of the Learning 2.0-23 Things discovery learning program created by Helene Blowers.

Micheal - thanks for your guidance and encouragement and a great set of easy to use activities! Because school started a few weeks ago, my participation tapered - but only due to to lack of time - not interest! This has been a marvelous exploration into the world of 2.0. I've raved about it to my fellow media specialists and the best news is my District is starting a blogging pilot program this year :-) One Thing at a Time!!!

Debra said it so well. Thanks, Michael, for taking this on, it was great! Thanks to everyone else, too. I learned a lot reading your blogs and twittering away. Bye, everyone, and best wishes.

Michael and all its been great. I've raved about it so much that my colleagues were sorry they didn't jump in when I sent around the link. I shared the links to our Center for Teaching Excellence and I am going to collaborate with them on launching a program like this for the faculty next spring. I had a Facebook account and was using Google Reader before joining in this adventure. But I created a blog for the Department's that am a Liaison for. We are tagging our favorite sites in del.ici.ous. Who knows what's next. I will look for our next learning adventure together! I look forward to any opportunity

Michael and all, Thanks so much for making it so easy to continue this process on with other! I'm starting a 2.0 class this week at my school and was hoping to point them this direction. It will be nice that we can tweak it to fit our district! Thanks so much for your wonderful guidance!
