Launching Your Own "All Together Now" & ThanksSeptember 4, 2008 My hope for all of the participants in SLJ's "All Together Now" is that many of you may choose to do a version of this program or the larger "23 Things" in your own libraries or schools. One thing you can do is enhance and augment each activity to fit your own needs. To make it super easy, I have archived all of the activities and postings at a special Wordpress blog at Tame the Web: http://tametheweb.com/sljlearning20/ To make it even easier, you can download the entire blog (with all posts, categories, etc) at this link: http://tametheweb.com/sljlearning20/?p=204 Note: Images are not included, but feel free to grab them from the site. SPECIAL THANKS: Thanks to all who participated and commented from all over the world in this experiment! Special thanks to Brian Kenney, editor of SLJ, who called me one one afternoon while I was reading in the hammock and said "I know you're on summer break, but I'm thinking I want to do this Thing...." Thanks to all the good folks at SLJ and LJ. SLJ's All Together Now is an adaptation of the Learning 2.0-23 Things discovery learning program created by Helene Blowers. Because school started a few weeks ago, my participation tapered - but only due to to lack of time - not interest! This has been a marvelous exploration into the world of 2.0. I've raved about it to my fellow media specialists and the best news is my District is starting a blogging pilot program this year :-) One Thing at a Time!!!

There are so many applications for schools whose districts will allow Web 2.0 technology. I am currently working on my master's degree to become a school librarian, and the 23 Things was a part of the class. It has been one of my best classes so far.
