Preview: The Elsewhere ChroniclesNovember 22, 2008 Christopher Butcher over at comics212.net has the scoop on a new graphic novel series called THE ELSEWHERE CHRONICLES debuting from Lerner Publishing this upcoming Spring. More details on the story and inside-page preview art can be found at www.elsewherechronicles.com.This looks like some great stuff - finally, more fantasy aimed at a 9-12 age group with great clean artwork and fun character design. Two interesting things to note here: this is a real departure from the recent output of Lerner's Graphic Universe imprint with clearly more emphasis as a trade graphic novel rather than a strictly high-interest educational one. Secondly, this book was originally published as Les Enfants D’Ailleurs in Europe and shows that there is likely a ton of untapped talent and material across the ocean that would work very well in the North American market. Looking forward to reading this one and seeing how it's received by kids. Posted by Scott Robins on November 22, 2008 | Comments (2)

In response to: Preview: The Elsewhere Chronicles Darryl Hughes commented: The cover is VERY striking. Something that draws the eye immediately. Good for them. But as to your point about there being "a ton of untapped talent and material across the ocean"? There's more then a ton of untapped talent and material right here in the good ole USA just waiting for their chance to impress you. :)
