Michael Jackson: What You May Not KnowJune 27, 2009Growing up, The Jackson Five was a huge part of the fabric of my family. My four sisters and I, WERE The Jackson Five. We knew every song and we always fought over who would play, MICHAEL. *heart* And right now, as I reflect on my early years, I realize that Michael Jackson was a teacher to me. I learned a lot about the world, without leaving my backyard. And I could never put into words how I feel about his death. This video says it all.
Farewell, and thank you, to one of my earliest teachers, Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. Posted by Amy Bowllan on June 27, 2009 | Comments (3)

In response to: Michael Jackson: What You May Not Know George Edward Stanley commented: These are the stories I want to hear and read about Michael Jackson, not the one television or in the newspapaers that are focusing solely on his "medications." I want to hear about the DIFFERENCE he made in people's lives. I want to hear how he inspired young people to be more than they ever, ever thought they could be! I am so sick and tired of negative journalism in this country!! Thank you, Amy!

In response to: Michael Jackson: What You May Not Know George Edward Stanley commented: Well, it's early in Oklahoma: I meant, "not the ones on television or in the newspapers that are focusing solely on his medications."

In response to: Michael Jackson: What You May Not Know Amy Bowllan commented: George, thank you so much. Your book is waiting for at the post office. I will continue to share the impact MJ left on me and my family. I used to call he and I the "green" people, because I felt he understood what it was like to be different. My parents raised us to be "different" from the rest, and I equated that with MJ. His music, dance, and humanism, made me the person I am today. I thank you for your candor and support.
