From their newsletter: Visit our gallery in booth 1815 and record a short booktalk about your favorite Macmillan Children's Publishing Group title. Five participants will be randomly selected to receive a piece of original art from Matthew Cordell, Danica Novgorodoff, Peter McCarty, Uri Schulevitz, or Laura Vaccaro Seeger! Bring a copy of this e-news letter and also be entered to win Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time Quintet box set.

Now here's my brilliant idea (if I do say so myself). How about one of you readers taking all these author events for ALA and creating a Google Calendar to share with all of us? You could put the authors, their booths, events, etc. in and when you share the calendar, we can simply click the "Add to my calendar" button so we don't have to retype all these events. We could build a gigantic calendar of author events that is easier to read than all these lists we receive via email. We can also use the Google calendar alert systems to text our cell phones or pda's so we don't miss the events we really care about just because we were too busy to glance at our printed schedules. Any takers?
