Surviving the Angel of Death is the memoir of Eva Mozes Kor, who was a Mengele twin in Auschwitz when she was 10 years old. Written for the YA market, it is the story of a child's survival in unimaginable

circumstances. Eva and her co-author, Lisa Rojany Buccieri, will be signing galleys, free to attendees. July 12th, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm - Booth 2655
Auschwitz survivor memoir for YA audience
Eva Mozes Kor was 10 years old when she arrived in Auschwitz. While her parents and two older sisters were taken to the gas chambers, she and her twin, Miriam, were herded into the care of the man known as the Angel of Death, Dr. Josef Mengele. Subjected to sadistic medical experiments, she was forced to fight daily for her and her twin's survival. In this incredible story written for young teens, readers will learn of a child's endurance and survival in the face of truly extraordinary evil.
Eva and her co-author, Lisa Rojany Buccieri, will be signing free galleys. Eva has been in numerous documentaries, the subject of the film "Forgiving Dr. Mengele," and has spoken at schools and conferences nationally and internationally. Lisa has been a publishing executive and award-winning author of over 100 books for children.
