Comiqs - A bit of fun for a Friday
February 22, 2008
Kerpoof is fun, but is rather elementary. So what if I told you there was a Kerpoof for older students? Enter
Comiqs, a new website that helps you create comic layouts. Online. Free.
Similar to
Plasq's Comic Life that ships pre-installed on Macs though is now
also available for Windows, Comiqs provides some basic tools for comic style layouts and graphics. Though in no way a replacement for the much more powerful tools available through Comic Life, Comiqs gives you a way to get started. You can drop pictures into a variety of layout grids and then add different text shapes. Multiple pages are pulled together in the Comiqs Shockwave player that can be embedded on other pages. Here is a static sample.
