Comiqs - A bit of fun for a Friday
February 22, 2008

Kerpoof is fun, but is rather elementary. So what if I told you there was a Kerpoof for older students? Enter Comiqs, a new website that helps you create comic layouts. Online. Free.

Similar to Plasq's Comic Life that ships pre-installed on Macs though is now also available for Windows, Comiqs provides some basic tools for comic style layouts and graphics. Though in no way a replacement for the much more powerful tools available through Comic Life, Comiqs gives you a way to get started. You can drop pictures into a variety of layout grids and then add different text shapes. Multiple pages are pulled together in the Comiqs Shockwave player that can be embedded on other pages. Here is a static sample.

Hi, I just read your post and thought you might want to know about ToonDoo. ToonDoo. is a free, online comic strip creator tool that allows you to create your own comic strips, publish and share it with the rest of the world. Hundreds of teachers worldwide have still gone along and used toondoo with great impact in school, assignment, and presentation environments. Not just that, it also comes with two cool features for creating your own avatar and uploading your photos and images. It would be nice if you could review the tool and share your comments. Thanks for your time. T.R Prakashan ToonDude from ToonDoo

TuneDude, but your thinly veiled spam would be a heck of a lot more effective if you first searched to see whether or not I had already reviewed ToonDoo.
