ProfCast - Presentation to Podcast
July 23, 2007

I just finished presenting, and the movie of my session is ready to publish. Quick editing? Nope...just a few clicks in ProfCast. This Mac OSX only download handles the entire recording process and easily creates a Quicktime or iPod movie output. When you start the program, ProfCast prompts you to drag and drop a Keynote of PowerPoint presentation. This then opens the correct program. When you start the ProfCast audio recording, the program launches the presentation and starts a synchronized recording. This means that the movie will change slides at the correct point in the audio recording. The result of a 45 minute talk with a 1024x768 Keynote presentation was a 44MB movie.

ProfCast costs $29.95 for educational users and has a 15 day free trial version.

Disclaimer: I received a free registration for ProfCast at an Apple iPods in Education Workshop.
