Special Request - Zoho Wiki Collaboration
May 4, 2007

By special request for incoming AASL President, Sara Kelly Johns, a quick how-to for collaborative authoring of documents online. While there are many possibilities in this field, Zoho Wiki rises above the rest to provide the power and functionality of a word processor combined with the collaborative power of a wiki.

By using the same tool bar as Zoho Writer, Zoho Wiki allows you to write in plain English. Even more important, though, other users who may be worried about having to learn HTML or a wiki markup language in order to be involved can also contribute in this user-friendly environment. As the document creator, you can use the Dashboard to select the interface you wish to provide for users by choosing the buttons that appear on the toolbar. The Dashboard also allows you to control access and manage pages on your wiki. You can set a wiki as private, public, or group access only.

So if you need to share a document with just a few people, Zoho Writer can fit the bill, but when you need to collaboratively develop a larger document with a wider audience, Zoho Wiki is a best bet to meet your needs!
