These are exciting times in teen and young adult literature. Just last week, Oprah Winfrey announced that she had added children’s and teen reading lists to her book club. Before you say “that’s the last thing we need, another list,” I encourage you to take a look at the suggested titles. There is not a stinker among ‘em, I promise you.     Kids In Need Foundation (formerly SHOPA) Teacher Grants provide funds for classroom teachers who have innovative ideas but lack the budget to fund and sustain new programs. Projects may qualify for funding by making creative use of common teaching aids, through approaching the curriculum from an imaginative angle, or by integrating nontraditional concepts for the purpose of illustrating commonalities.
