Boy Guide Hits Big Screen

Last year’s best-seller The Dangerous Book for Boys (HarperCollins, 2007) is about to hit the tube and the big screen. A TV series based on the tongue-in-cheek how-to manual by British authors Conn and Hal Iggulden is in production in the U.K., and there’s talk of a U.S. spin-off. Meanwhile, Disney and U.S. producer Scott Rudin also have acquired the film rights to the book, which offers step-by-step instructions about tree houses, paper airplanes, and other traditional boy pastimes.
