As stated in our annual policy statement, SLJ's purpose is to provide its subscribers with short, critical reviews of books for children and young adults for selection purposes. Our reviewers are librarians currently working with children or young adults in schools or public libraries, teachers of children's literature, and outside subject specialists. Anyone interested in reviewing is encouraged to fill out the form below and return it to SLJ, along with two sample reviews. Choose any two books that you wish, but please include one that recommends purchasing the book and one that does not. If you are not a librarian currently working with young people in library service, we will not be able to accept your offer to review for SLJ. We do, however, thank you for your offer and your interest.
