The online youth-oriented media group Ypulse sponsored the poll, along with the health education nonprofit ISIS, and grassroots resource organization YouthNoise, as part of its ongoing effort to create a Web-based application where teens can go when they have questions about their bodies. more » » »

He is confident of his amazing abilities—including laser-projecting eyes and an earthshaking “super bark”—and takes seriously the responsibility of protecting his mistress, Penny (Miley Cyrus), from the criminals who threaten her scientist/father. more » » »

        • Kids Less Likely to Graduate High School Than Parents, Study Says

Today’s kids are less likely than their parents to graduate high school, and most states aren’t doing much to hold schools accountable for this trend, says a new study from the Education Trust, a nonprofit organization that advocates on the behalf of poor and minority children.

“Policymakers in many states are setting graduation improvement targets that won’t get our young people—or our nation—ready to compete in the knowledge-driven world of the 21st century,” says the report “Counting on Graduation.” “States must ratchet up expectations for high school graduation, substantially and immediately.” more » » »
